Insights
Design & Geometry
The Pill Chandelier, designed by Droulers Architecture for Matlight Milano, features a rhythmic composition of elongated, pill-shaped alabaster elements arranged around a central brass structure. Their rounded profiles and balanced radial geometry create a bold yet harmonious designer chandelier, combining architectural precision with soft, organic forms.
Material & Craftsmanship
Each pill-shaped element is crafted from natural alabaster and paired with a finely finished brass structure. The stone’s individual veining and tonal variations make every alabaster chandelier unique. The contrast between translucent alabaster and warm metal highlights Matlight Milano’s expertise in combining natural materials with refined Italian craftsmanship.
Light Effect
When illuminated, the alabaster elements reveal their distinctive cloudy veining, transforming the chandelier into a warm composition of glowing stone. Light diffuses softly through the material, emphasizing its depth and natural variations. Among natural chandeliers, Pill creates an especially atmospheric interplay between light, stone, and brass.
Application & Space
With its compact yet sculptural presence, Pill is ideal for elegant dining rooms, living areas, entrance halls, boutique hotels, restaurants, and sophisticated hospitality interiors. Used individually or in larger compositions, it offers the decorative impact expected from contemporary alabaster chandeliers while retaining a refined architectural character.
