The Selene Maxi range is the result of our proj- ect of combining light with a particular apot- ropaic stone – Selenite: a mineral chalk whose surface presents defined and irregular stria- tions along the length of the crystal. The light that passes through this material highlights the surface cutting irregularities and, in line with its polarity, exits from the opposite end with a minimal reduction in power. The main feature of the Selene pendant (available in two sizes) is its cylindrical diffuser with rounded ends, hand-sculpted by hand from a rough block of selenite and illuminated at one end. The shape is completed by a bronze support that recalls the shape of the diffuser.
